When you take NMN matters: afternoon dosing, sleep and mobility

Juvi · May 30, 2026

Timing might matter as much as dose. This 12-week, randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial enrolled 108 older Japanese adults (65+) and compared morning NMN, afternoon NMN, and placebo, all at 250 mg/day.

Afternoon came out ahead. The afternoon-NMN group showed the most meaningful improvements of any group.

Less drowsiness, stronger legs. Afternoon NMN significantly reduced daytime drowsiness and produced the strongest gains in lower-limb function, measured by the five-times sit-to-stand test (a moderate-to-large effect).

Sleep trended better. Sleep-quality scores leaned favourably in the afternoon group across sleep latency, daytime function, and overall score, though without reaching statistical significance.

Safety. Compliance topped 95% and no adverse effects were reported.

A simple, practical takeaway: if you take Rejuvi, the afternoon may be a smart time to do it.
